Considering Votto is out I see this as a pretty good lineup. If Rolen can keep his post-ASB run going, this lineup, going from Latos to Hanigan, is pretty much going by production in increasing order.

Pitching and defense are still the name of the game. If the starters do their job you pretty much know the bullpen will. Offense won't have to score a lot.

Ian Kennedy is getting roughed up a bit this year. Let's hope that continues one more game. He was nails in 2011. He has only pitched two games against the Reds. But has pretty much had his way. Third time's the charm for Reds' hitters.

Optimism, his career numbers, he's the kind of guy who won't just lay down and accept what he's putting up so far. Maybe those 4 healthy days off he fixed something.

I'm not going to criticize Dusty for not creating a lineup that cannot exist. And as of right now we need him in our lineup.

I think it's a good idea to have Frazier behind Rolen right now, particularly since Rolen pretty much HAS to play. Frazier's bat might protect Rolen a bit, get him some better pitches to hit.

Scoreboard watching:

Brewers just beat the Cardinals - after the Cards loaded the bases in the 9th and K Rod walked in a run to make it 4-3.

Pirates are bashing the ball all over Coors Field and are up 9-6 on the Rockies.

Pouring. I expect a start of 8:30-9:00, and that's being hopeful.

Also it's a highly electrical storm. Lightning bolts all over the place about every five seconds.

I still don't know why lightning is a problem in stadiums, if it strikes anything it will be the lights, as they sit on giant metal poles. No chance of being in danger inside the stadium.

Edit: Well, maybe if you're playing centerfield, lol
