Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
Cingrani scheduled to pitch tonight in front fo Walt, Bavasi, and company.
Perhaps keeping his IP under control isn't the only reason to have skipped him a few days ago?

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
The way I am counting it they only skipped him in the rotation once. He pitched on the 13th. With an off day in there he should have pitched on or about the 19th. And now he is pitching on the 24th. Once, unless I am missing something.

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
Wirfin Obispo started in his place the first time. He has since started again. So I guess it a skip and then a push back.

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
Renewal is great. Pensacola seems a great place with a nice stadium and facilities and good ownership.

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
They had a couple of rain delays when they were in Tennessee.

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
I would have been very surprised if this extension didn't happen. From the time these guys left Carolina I figured this would be a long relationship. Good for Pensacola and best of luck in the future.

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
Apparently ,the Marlins expressed their interest in the stadium on the last visit to Pensacola citing not being happy with travel arrangements from Jacksonville.
Anyway I like the 4 year agreement because I can follow the Reds players to Arizona to Pensacola, see Wes Mugarian pitch at home hopefully, post here for 4 more years lol

Re: Wahoos & Reds to renew
I can only assume that means bus travel for the team. If you look at this map
http://billsportsmaps.com/?p=10521 and substitute Pensacola for Carolina, you can see how Jax is a lot farther out than everyone else. I assume air travel is much more convenient out of Jax. They have 3 times the air traffic of Pensacola. |
