the pirates haven't had to handle success yet. Not surprised to see them losing to the Cubs. They probably went into this series too cocky

Xavier Paul reaches on a line drive that the shortstop oled (ole'd?)or something. He is given a base hit. He steals second with two down.

I doubt it was them being cocky....Clint Hurdle is too good a manager for that. Everyone goes thru slumps, I would imagine that's what it is, just guessing tho.

Until this run he's been a .500 manager for the Reds.

Even now he's only 378-366 (.508).

Below .500 for the Cubs.

I'd say he's had considerably more opportunity than most, given his W-L records. Oh. And Bonds. He had Bonds.
