Re: Reds vs. Astros Wednesday 7/25
When pitching at home, Bud Norris is a very good pitcher.
We are compaining about only getting three hits through 4 innings. In his home starts, this same Norris held the vaunted Cards offense to 3 hits and one run over 6 innings DURING their hotest offensive streak. Cubs, 5 hits and no runs over 7 innings, Milwaukee, 4 hits and one run over 7 innings, Colorado, 4 hits, 2 runs over 7, His other two home starts were not great but not awful. Cards - 7 hits, 4 runs over 6 innings Mets - 7 hits, 3 runs over 6.2 innings. Overall at home he is 3-1 with a 2.27 e.r.a. In half of his home starts he has given up one or zero runs. No, I am not overly disappointed with getting 3 hits and a run against this pitcher in the first 4 innings. (the comment was made after the first 4 innings... not 5) Meanwhile, Bailey has pitched 5 innings of shutout ball. |

2 more innings and I can breath easy. Rough night overall for Bailey though it is not showing up in the boxscore(yet). Astros just don't have the talent to make people pay for bad control.

We all know that you want Bailey to lose. It's the only way you can keep this charade going.

Another ground ball from Homer but just happens to be in a good spot. Cant blame homer.
