The Padres hit our pitching as well as any team in baseball.

Cairo is totally useless. Why has he not been dfa? HRod would be much more valuable on this team.

Agreed... how in the world is a backup second baseman a cause for concern for anyone?

For once I'd love to see us put this team away and leave them there.
Starting pitching and defense have sucked the entire series

We'll be alright in about a week when we have the right side of our infield back.

Simple..because options A and B are hurt. and instead of having someone who can play that position they put Cairo there...costing this team runs. Poor mag't of roster again.

Except for the first game, the Padres havn't exactly "ripped" the Reds pitching. Couple of bad innings by Bailey and Arroyo, and now Cueto, but the rest of the time they've only had scattered hits.

Re: Reds vs. Padres Thursday 8/2

Quite honestly, my only concern coming out of today is having a worn-out bullpen for the Pittsburgh series. With the way Cueto's going, that seems almost unavoidable.

Isnt there some type of board rule about saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over. Good God this cat is unreal

Well, however you want to look at it. The point is that our starters have been ineffective this series. Unless Cueto turns it around, it's looking unlikely that we'll get out of the four-game series with a single quality start (and that's not a terribly high standard anyway, especially against this team).
