I still think offense is the scary problem with this team. Has been since the season started and it hasn't really been addressed.

Nah I disagree. Not hit that hard and Frazier had time to get back after Volstad fielded it. Instead he committed a major blunder by attempting to go to 3rd for a few steps. Just costly bad base running that should've been elementary.

But runners take an extra base on the throw all the time. Doesn't need to be an error.

Pretty unforgivable to me that the Reds let Volstad have a quality start. Guys like he and Randy Wolf should be knocked around the park.

I agree...but it's a judgment call for the scorekeeper.

Re: 8/9/2012 Reds vs Baby Bears
On the replay from the side of Mes it hopped right to his glove and Mes couldn't grab it. Having watched a lot of baseball I think it is fair to say that is usually not an error.

I thought it is only considered a quality start after 7 innings...am I wrong?

Re: 8/9/2012 Reds vs Baby Bears
Stubbs got hot at the wrong time if you are a Reds fan. This team is going to sink fast in the playoffs with Cozart and Stubbs 1-2.
