If we want to keep Ludwick we're gonna have to offer him 2-3 years. Even though he loves it here I don't think he'd agree to just the option, he's having the kinda season that is going to get him a payday from someone.

While I tend to agree with you it wasn't as if he was a hot commodity before signing with the Reds. IMO a $5 million guarantee is better than a maybe.
