Re: 8/19/12 - Reds vs. Cubs

Cubs manager likes the bunt. Barney bunt attempt there. Like Dusty.

As a fan opposing the Cubs, I'd like a bunt too.

Valbuena doubles off of the tip if Bruce's glove. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.

Maybe UZR is smarter than we think about Bruce.

Remember those days when we couldn't understand why Jay wasn't winning gold gloves?

Distant memory

FWIW, I would remove Latos but it could be too late. Bruce gets an error on that play which is deserved.

Tie ballgame now with two outs.

Man, Jay, right in the glove.

Re: 8/19/12 - Reds vs. Cubs

Wasn't the right choice to bring Latos back out to face the top of the order...

Why didn't he go home with that throw?

Agree. Still he's out of the inning if Bruce holds on.

Dusty is trying to preserve the pen today because of the dh yesterday and the Phillies series coming up. Hasn't worked out.

Very frustrating but not over.

Re: 8/19/12 - Reds vs. Cubs

Should just walk Castro. No reason to pitch to him here.

Re: 8/19/12 - Reds vs. Cubs

As of right now, an unearned run, but to honest, that ball to Bruce was smoked. It's not like Latos is fooling anyone this inning.

Ball was hit hard, but Bruce had it in the glove.

Really don't get why Latos is still out there and why he is pitching to Castro.

Bruce has a good arm. The rest of his defensive ability leaves much to be desired.
