I take exception to the idea that Dusty is apparently infallible.

I'm a fan of Dusty, but he should've been in from the start. Though admittedly, that's not what has us in the hole tonight.

If your offense spots you 5 runs against a Roy Halladay, you can't let them down.

Nope, I've been a member of this board for 12 years....I think this has been a great season and the Reds have nearly locked down a postseason bid with 40 games to go. This is the most fun I've had since 1990, when I was 18.

Who said that? I'm critical of his lineups but what he has been doing is apparently working. He knows his players better than Joe Fan.

Goodness, Brutus. It Was a joke, as in so and so has left field so screwed up, nobody can play it. Like Vottomatic, trying to lighten the mood.

Re: 8/20/2012 Reds at Phillies

I would consider DL'ing Lecure and sending him for a AAA rehab stint.

Lecure was out for awhile with some physical problem. He's somewhat prone to these nagging injuries, seems to happen each year. Even in the minors.

He wasn't good v the Cubs and tonight ran out of gas kind of quickly.

Might be a good idea to bring up Hoover and give Sam a few minor league outings.

Well I guess I'm bothered than by the fact that you (and certainly others) can be critical of his lineups, but if I'm critical of his slow hook, even once, than I'm being unreasonable.

He's not. It's the hand-wringing over every move or non-move Dusty makes in every single game thread that is constantly an annoyance to many people. And truthfully, I can't speak for everyone that might share that concern, but I would not in any way, shape or form include you in that constant negativity that gets annoying. You are usually pretty fair and reserved in your criticism.

It's the Monday morning micromanaging by this board when Dusty's methods, popular or otherwise, has the Reds winning more than 60 percent of their games that is pretty much a turn-off.

Agreed , he's been off for awhile

That said Leake and Lecure are off my PO roster

Wasn't directed at you per se. Just an observation of the general overtone of the game threads nowadays. Still love to follow but calling for 2 position players to be immediately removed (with no injury) is a bit much! Carry on
