I think MLB also has a say in when and when not to wear certain uniforms. I like the Reds daytime uniform the best and asked why they don't wear it for night games. The response that I was given was that MLB mandates a white uniform to be worn for night games. Something to do with the ease of visibility for the lower light conditions.
