Why does it always seem to me that Cueto gets the Sunday Special style team behind him?

Re: 8/23/12 - Reds @ Phillies
This line up befuddles me. I know Dusty loves to get playing time for his bench but under no circumstances should Cairo and Valdez be in the starting line-up at the same time.
Bruce is having a hard time against LHP right now and you have the pitcher. I'm cool with Rolen having the day off but, no way Phillips being our main Lefty Killer, should be out against one of the 2 or 3 best LH Starters in the Senior Circuit.

Re: 8/23/12 - Reds @ Phillies
I have no problem resting some guys tonight. We have a pitcher who hopefully can keep us in it even with less offense, we've already got atleast a split this series. I want my best players playing this weekend when we can almost lock the division up going into the final month. If that means they sit tonight, then they sit.

Phillips really needed the day off. He's played a ton lately. He struggled against the Cubs but has hit pretty well against the Phils. While Hamels is a lefty, Brandon needs the day before the Cards. Maybe Cairo and Valdez will come through. Phils resting Rollins. |

Cairo and Valdez will both haunt their former team tonight.

Bruce Ks. Don't quite get Bruce hitting third against Hamels. Maybe Frazier three, Ludwick four would have been better.

Wow, if the Reds win this game, it will be a minor miracle.
