I get what you're saying, but sometimes you lose the battle to win the war.

Why let X-Man swing away when you can leave it up to Cozart and Stubbs.

Cozart hit the first pitch over the wall on Tuesday night. I guess he thought lightning would strike twice.

Re: 8/23/12 - Reds @ Phillies
Hard to see the Reds winning this game, to be honest. Here's hoping.

Re: 8/23/12 - Reds @ Phillies
the last thing we needed was an exta inning game on a travel night with a game tomorrow.
The Cards are in there hotel room in Cincy eating room service and watching the game.

They will probably go with Hoover. Broxton is the closer tonight and will be kept available for a potential save.

Re: 8/23/12 - Reds @ Phillies
They're all worth the same, though it's true that the St. Louis series is bigger because the Reds have an opportunity to both win and also force a loss on their nearest competitor in the division.

Quick. Somebody order a delivery of Skyline coneys, White Castle hamburgers, Taco Bell, and Graeter's ice cream and send it to the Cardinal players in their hotel rooms.
