Re: 8/25/12 - Cards @ Reds
This game reminded me of this other one: Sept 4 , 2010
http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=300904124 Middle game of a series where the Cards needed to sweep to cut the distance to the REDs. Travis Wood pitched and hit a home run. REDs had lost a close one the night before.

Just watched the highlights, some real nice defense by Cozart in the game.

Re: 8/25/12 - Cards @ Reds
I was at this game yesterday and it was a ton of fun. Barry Larkin was all class both before, during, and after the ceremony (I found myself getting teary watching his teammates in the video montage and listening to Barry's speech) and the game was awesome. We even got there in time to get the Reds Stein which is AWESOME (we got there around 2:10 PM and they were all ready moving empty boxes
) and now up there as one of my favorite giveaways. We were also in the shade for both the ceremony and the entire game which made it even more of an enjoyable day. We also had no Cards fans around us anywhere AND there was no Molina in the game. Can't ask for more than these few things!

We definitely chose the right game to attend.
It's truly amazing how much the gameday experience for fans has improved since the banks finally were developed. |
