Blew them away!
Big win to damper their hopes of division changing sweep. Mike had a good solid start despite tons of hits. Would be sweet to beat them tomorrow with their Ace going and start them off 1-2 on a 10 game road trip and get both games in the standings we lost to them right back. Wish we could have held our leads the last two days we could been on the verge of warping this deal up early. |

Mission accomplished imo. Looking at the schedules I just wanted to avoid a sweep here, Stl still has a ton of tough games left. If the good Homer shows up and we also win tomorrow it'll be gravy.
Also nice to get Chapman some rest. |

Mike Matheny hurt them today. He used his 24th and 25th players on the roster in key spots and both failed with the Robinson DP 1st and 3rd with no out and then Dickson over his established guys in the pen right after they got it back down to 2.

Drew Stubbs
35 strikeouts this month with 5 games remaining. (last year he had months of 41,40 and 39 his 3 worst ever) In his past 17 starts he has made 4 or more outs in 12 of those games. |

Since Aug 6th Stubbs has made 4 outs 12 times. Adam Dunn is hitting .205 and he has to go back to July 8th to have 12 of those. Chris Heisey has to go back to May 16th (over 40 starts)
