Jeez, Wainwright with the best at-bat yet for STL.

Homer went full to pitcher and laid it in there.

Not good pitching there, gave in to the pitcher. Now a threat.

Bailey threw Wainwright a fastball right down the middle.

I really don't think Homer did anything wrong there. Just a good job by Wainwright.

Homer did nothing wrong except giving the pitcher a fat pitch right down the middle.

Jay singles to center on an 0-2 pitch. 1-0 Cards.

Fastball right down the middle to Wainwright, followed by a very hittable 0-2 pitch to Jon Jay.

Other option was walking him. I kinda prefer challenging the pitcher to hit the fastball in that position.

Bailey looks bad today. And Wainwright looks good.

I don't see a good result for this one.

Hanigan either had his catching mask painted, or he finally has a new one. That old one had a huge paint chip right on the top/front.

Completely disagree. And Homer just did it again to Carpenter.

When the count goes full you make a good pitch. Outside corner. A bit high.

You don't lay it down the middle fearing the walk.

If you walk him, you walk him.

Throwing a fastball right down Broadway on a full count isn't challenging the pitcher. It's capitulating for fear of the walk. And he did it again to Carpenter at 3-2 this inning.
