Oh, right. I might owe that to the brevity of Twitter rather than Fay not knowing though. Ultimately Hamilton is probably starting next year in the minors regardless of if they call him up, so the end result is essentially that it will burn an option to call him up.

Wouldn't a September call up mean he has to be on the 40 man, therefor using an option?

Or can any player within the Reds Org be called up/played in the month of September? Or just players off the 40?
