Does anyone else miss the days of Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red seats? Getting offered Blue seats was an amazing thrill.

Re: What do YOU want to talk about?

I like to talk about patience and what it means when you are a fan of a relatively small market team that can only win if it produces talent through it's farm system. I like to talk about pitching because without it, you can't win. I like to talk about how difficult it really is to build a winning team and how happy I have been this year to see that the Reds have succeeded in building a team that may be able to stick around for the long haul.

What I thought was weird was the yellow seats had padding to sit on but the other seats didn't.

Only thing better than get offered Blue seats was sneaking past the ushers on the ramps (usually by getting in close to a big group and walking quickly) and getting your Blue seat for $5.

I think all of those were under cover? That was probably the reason. They were actually the best seats in house IMO. Just the right level to view a game. I sat in them behind home plate a couple of times and it was great. Usually I was up in the nose bleeds of the red seats. It could get a little scary when you got into the very top rows.

Until you went down there for a day game and the seat surface was 4 billion degrees Fahrenheit.

I think most of these were modified golf carts. It seemed every team had one except the Reds. Really dumb when you think about it. How far can it be for the pitcher to walk to the mound?

Re: What do YOU want to talk about?

The Mariners bullpen cart woy posted is pretty much the most amazing thing ever.

I like to talk about having no patience, building a team around 5-tool guys and wearing leatherpants.

It's been a long time since I saw a diagram of the football field and baseball diamond in Riverfront, but I think those were actually designed to be premium football seats.

Remember the empty boxes that were supposed to be a restaurant? Ahead of it's time, that Riverfront was. Except for everything else about it.

Yea I wonder why the restaurant never happened?

Funny thing about the yellow padded seats is over time they turned kinda nasty looking. Like a dirty yellow.

My father managed the car dealership that supplied the Yankees with theirs in the early 90s I think. Pontiac Sunbird. They also "loaned" Showalter a car for a season. Took them a while to get it back and a clubhouse kid totaled it on the way back.

I don't think the Bengals and Reds could agree on it - amongst other things.
