Valdez doesn't hit the ball hard enough to get a double play. So that is always a plus. Sub-Mendoza now.

I was thinking that. He'd have to ground out to the catcher to hit into a DP...which he almost did lol.

Boneheaded baserunning. Geez. Why would Latos be wandering far enough off third with two outs to enable him to get picked off? This catcher has a gun. He nearly got Valdez at second from his knees.

Didn't look like they caught him napping...must have had that play on thinking he was wondering down the line too far.

Bad inning all around. If we get the sacrifice down Latos isn't running the bases, Hanigan might have scored on Stubbs' single and who knows what else.

Only one that comes to mind is Janish but I think he had more OF power than Valdez does.
