Re: Last game against Astros for...?

I feel bad for the Reds fans who went to this and Friday's game, they deserved a better performance.

If Rolen's not back tomorrow, I wouldn't be suprised to see either Cairo or Rodriguez at 3B tomorrow. Frazier looks slow and for good reasons. Dude's been outh there every day.

Re: Last game against Astros for...?

The Reds/Astros rivalry ends with a whimper, a 5-1 loss on a Stubbs strikeout. We're bad again.

What an appropriate ending. This team's in trouble.

You could have said on a Stubbs at-bat and it would have been just as descriptive

I don't feel bad for anyone who got to go to a ballpark and watch a game. I'm jealous.

Wasn't that the 26th K of the game? Ugh.

As with most of Stubb's at bats he was down 0-2. How can you not protect the plate? That was right down the middle. He had made up his mind, he was not going to swing, that it was going to be a waste pitch.

Now the Cubs come into town on a losing streak...as with any team on a losing streak...they are "due" to win some games.

They're currently beating Pittsburgh in the 8th.

Cubs have won two straight and are trying for a sweep on the Pirates today. They are "due", if anything, to lose another three or four in a row.

Cardinals win though. They gain a game. 8.5 lead.
