This is the Homer Bailey I like... the one that doesn't try to overthrow or force strikeouts. He's getting ahead in the count and keeping the ball down in the zone; getting a lot of grounders.

What do Jay Bruce and Homer Bailey have in common?

Over their careers, they both are inconsistent but do well in September. Good to see Homer pitching well late in the season.

He really seems to take pitching against Pittsburgh too. In 66 innings, hes' got an ERA under 2.75 against them.

People are still sleeping off Monday night. 2-2 Cards and Pads. 1-2 count on Bailey who takes strike three.

One out.

Valdez has a good track record with man on third this season. You could look it up.
