Re: Seattle Pilots Photos found

These pictures remind me of what a great season that was to replay in Strat. First year of divisional play and the start of the symmetrical 24 team league that I still miss.

The Pilots and Expos were bad, but were much more fun to play than other expansionists like the San Diego Padres, who had a historically bad offense and the Royals, who were just boring and lacking talent in that first year.

1st photo appears to be the immortal Ray Oyler.

Weren't the '69 PIlots featured in Bouton's Ball Four?

Still, awesome pics, thanks

Well, yeah kinda sorta.

He was suing MLB over the braves move. The bigger player in that move was Ed Fitzgerald, he had the jack... oh and yes his dad is the guy the ship was named after that sank in Lake Superior

It's funny, I think I know more about that team than any other pre-'70s team. Kind of surreal to see the photos.

Re: Seattle Pilots Photos found

I'm thinking image #13 might be ex-Red Tommy Harper.

And the big pitcher with the glasses- could that maybe be Gene Brabender?

It would be fun to find a numerical roster and put some names with the images...like, who wore #1? Seems to have been a shortstop.
