Concern rising with Cueto pitching.
The most pitches in the league is not the stat I want to hear. He's the ace....but has not been ace-like recently.....need the ace for any playoff chance. |

I was thinking it's been a bit since Lee has had a monster shot against us.
Lord Get Cueto out and get a plan of action for his maximum potential come playoff time....do not care from now until Oct 3rd what he does pitching-wise. |

With Cueto at 197I, I may skip him and give Cingrani his next start. Then put him back out there for his next to last start and see if he is back.
Bailey gets a full week off. Talk about luck. |

Yea I would do the same thing with Cueto. Skip a start and call it shoulder fatigue, see if some time off will get him right.

Re: Red v. Fish Saturday 9/15
Right now Cueto should not be in the post season rotation. Dusty will never hold him out but he should
Sept Homer 21.2 innings 1.66 ERA Arroyo 19 innings 2.84 ERA Latos 13 innings 2.77 ERA Cueto 16.1 innings 7.73 ERA Leake 9.1 innings 8.68 ERA |

Re: Red v. Fish Saturday 9/15
Agreed, I think all pitchers that Dusty will use in the post season should get
2 or 3 starts off. Cueto's chances at the Cy Young are gone now, so might as well start resting starters and using the Redmonds, Cingrani, etc. Luckily we have a big lead and can afford to do it. May as well do it with position players too. Give guys several days off over the next 2 weeks, and crank em up the last week to build momentum. |
