I guess all bets are off at home. After all, you can block home and not any other base. Maybe with the actual scoring of a run or the attempted stopping of a run scoring, all bets are off.

Anarchy at the plate.

Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching

Cards@Nats game 3 Steven Jackson starts for the Nats, Carp for the Cards....game is on at 1:00 eastern on MLB TV.

Both pitchers are a question mark.....Jackson is either unhittable or horrible, Carpenter is winless since his Sept. return.

More breaks for the Cards 2 hits with 2 outs and the Craig double got stuck under the padding and the dirt allowing the runner to score from first.

Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching

Washington got a hit to start the first but then Harper just missed a HR and Zimmerman reached on a error by Freese before LaRoche hits into a fielders choice and Morse K's on ball a foot outside and the Nats fall to 3-for-18 with RISP.

The Strasburg shut down is getting bigger and bigger. Freese doubles to start the second followed by Descalso single to set up 1st and 3rd and Kozma hits a 3-run HR for a 4-0 Cards lead.

Kozma with a 3 run HR in the 2nd, now lead 4-0. This game is over. E. Jackson getting hammered. Given up 6 hits in 9 ab. Cards gonna win this series easily.

Cards hitting on all cylinders. Will be hard to knock them out of the playoffs.

Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching

The 2 pitchers who sucked in this series also sucked in the regular season vs the Cards as well. Edwin Jackson had a 7.71 ERA =and Jordan Zimmermann 9.90 in two starts each.

Hitting is a lot easier when a guy is throwing meatballs up there....Jackson is an enigma to say the least. Costas told a story of him throwing a no hitter with 8 walks and a hit batsman!

Why I been telling people we need to hope for them to miss the dance for the last two months. Their offense is great and have strong SP but they also are the luckiest the team I've ever seen.

SS goes down they call up a guy who would been released by every team in the majors if he wasn't a #1 pick having over a million invested in him, he gets to majors and hitting lights out. Garcia gets hurt and they have a 18 game winner to take his place in the NLCS and that's just the latest.

So now we're either going to blow a 2-0 lead in the NLDS or face the Cards who are only in the playoffs due to the new rules with out our Ace meaning out Division title could become voided like the Brewers by the Cards going to the World Series.

The entire time I been here my doomsday scenario from the season is losing to the Cards in the NLCS.

Wow Cards get yet another break with the ump blowing a call at first on a would be bunt single, ball was a foot from the glove with the foot on the bag.
