Re: Reds vs. Giants Wednesday 10/10 NLDS Game 4

The last couple days has ruined a good year of baseball!

Cards get in after a 100 game run of sub .500 baseball, the Braves choke to them, then they are going to beat the Nats after losing game one and now we are one the verge on blowing a 2-0 series lead thus giving them a clear shot at going to yet another WS with 90 or less wins in the lone year in MLB history they would have qualified being the 5th best team.

Exactly.

Though reminds me I have to get that Edd Routh granddaughter book (Red Legs and Black Sox...something like that for title) that tells the 1919 story from the Red's perspective.

I should look up that book too - I don't really know much about it.

Eegads. I'm going to forget reading your post. While all true, it's a bit much to swallow after witnessing the Nats collapse today in person. In isolation and on the merits, Reds have the better chance (than Giants) to win tomorrow imho. Have to move forward. Today just sucked all around.

The idiots are still howling... this was kind of funny at first, now it's really lame.

Oh, the howl is back? Yeah, it was amusing at first, but now it's getting old. Maybe they're hoping if they keep going, it'll stop being old and morph back into being funny.

Not only do we have to face Matt Cain needing to beat him for the 4th time in one season, the Giants are also going to have a 100% fresh BP with all their key late inning guys getting the day off.

He's got to have more than one since he went to the WS.

The Reggie Sanders Fiasco of '95
The Leiter Humiliation of '99
The Doc Holliday Abuse of '10

.
.
.

And, now, The Giant Collapse of '12

Long, hard road since 1990.

Dying to know why Hanigan didn't start today. Some batter/pitcher matchup?
