Re: NLDS Game 5 Reds vs Giants 10/11/12
The team ran into bad luck at the worst time. They also played the last few weeks as if they just needed to show up to the park and win. That does reflect on the manager and staff to a degree.
I like Dusty, but it is hard to ignore 1-10. Side note: I don't believe in bean ball, but they just hit the heart of the team after laying a GS on the Reds. Time for a Giant to take one in the ribs. |

I personally would've rather seen Frazier in the spot over Heisey, but I don't know if it would've mattered.

It's like a co-worker (who happens to be a Giants fan) says, Dusty can get you to the post-season but he rarely gets you any further.
This will go down as one of the greatest meltdowns in NL playoff history. |

Not defending his actions here, just pointing out that he could still harness his powers for good.

I have a downed tree in the back yard and a chainsaw. That costs less than a shrink. I was planning on cutting it after the game, but I might be out there earlier.

Phillips lines a double to right center. 6-2 Giants.

Reds are definitely looking like they'll make history either way. If they lose, first team ever after going up 2-0. If they win, I'm sure it will be an improbable comeback by some measure that will make history.

Two runs in on the Phillips double. Not dead yet.

Phillips drives in two runs and something in my brain just kickstarted into some kind of bipolar disorder.
