Re: NLDS Game 5 Reds vs Giants 10/11/12

Not to dwell, but.... I didn't see the game -- was watching on Gameday. It appeared that some of the pitches to Bruce were in the middle third of the plate. True?

Not looking for a goat, just wondering.

Todd's D will be on Par with what we got from Rolen this year. Which is Acceptible. But his bat will play much better.

You'd rather see your team win 76 games than 99 games?

You watch sports weird.

I can honestly sit here and say I would rather miss the playoffs then choke the way the Reds did.

Very extreme. I don't think anyone, especially those that analyze/report on baseball, will see the Reds as a joke.

Will the Nats, the team with the best record in MLB, be a joke if the Cards send them packing?

Every post-season you see teams, even underdogs or the unexpected, rise up and perform well. It happens.

I'm certainly not going to call my team a joke. Not when you lose your ace.

You're a weird guy, OBM.

OBM would have rather been the 2012 Astros than the 2012 Reds.

I have had enough of this team for a while I'm calling it a season.

You can't overlook the fact that the Reds were in a position to sweep the series and instead got swept at home to lose the series. It's never happened in the NLDS in history. It's not really the same.

I know lol.

This isn't even the angry me saying this. I accepted defeat after the Posey grand slam. I've had plenty of time to calm down. I'm being completely honest when I say I would rather miss the playoffs than get eliminated the way the Reds did. The Reds made history in a bad, bad way,
