Jim Duquette of MLB.com hears that Ryan Ludwick is looking for a two-year, $14 million deal.

It's a reasonable expectation after he batted .275/.346/.531 with 26 home runs this past season while making just $2.5 million. The Reds would like to retain him, but they could have some competition. The Mets and Mariners are showing interest.

Ben Revere's name has surfaced as a possible trade candidate, tweets Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Revere became the Twins' projected center field starter with the trade of Denard Span to the Nationals, so Morosi believes Minnesota might need to get a center field back in order to move Revere.

The Reds have talked to Jack Hannahan. He hit .244/.312/.341 with four home runs and 29 RBI in 318 at-bat for Cleveland last year. He played mostly third, but he also played seven games at shortstop. He can first base as well.

He’s a 32-year-old, left-handed hitter. The Reds need bench help.

Sam Lecure was a guest on with Tracy Jones on WLW this afternoon and Jones told Lecure that he's hearing that the Reds are interested in Jacoby Ellsbury. Lecure responded that he hadn't heard anything but that it would be exciting to see a player like that in CF in Cincinnati.

The Los Angeles Angels added another piece to their rotation Wednesday, agreeing with free agent Joe Blanton on a two-year contract worth $15 million, according to a source.

The guaranteed deal includes a club option for a third year, the source said.

The Angels also bolstered their bullpen Wednesday, agreeing to a two-year contract with left-handed reliever Sean Burnett.
