'Twas the Night before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the Park
Not a creature was stirring---Great American was dark. The rotation was set by the FO with care In hopes that the "Missile" soon would be there. The "Jock" he was nestled, with laptop in bed While sights of relievers plum danced thru his head. Shin-Soo Choo in his Reds cap, and I in mine, tooz, Had just settled down for a post (Winter) meetings snooze. When out on the field there arose such a clatter I sprang from my couch to see what was the matter. Out of the tunnel I flew in a flash Tore my pajamas and my holiday sash. The infield a blanket of new fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day and made the park glow. When what to my wandering eyes should appear But a Reds Caravan and a shipment of beer! With a Reds-Suited driver at the head of the party I knew in a moment it must be St. Marty. More rapid than cheetahs the players they came And he whistled and shouted and called them by name! Now Hanigan, Now Devin, Now Corky for sure! On Cueto, On Latos, on Arroyo, Lecure. From the top of the stacks, from the top of the wall, They came dashingly, dashingly, dashingly all! As dependable fireman they answered the bell And they flew to St. Marty to see what he'd tell. So out of the tunnel these players they flew To the Reds Caravan and the shipment of brew! And then in a twinkling I saw flashes of white That came from on high and lit up the dark night. As we drew close in wonder, and turned 'round our heads, Out climbed the poofy-haired Voice of the Reds. He was dressed like a Santa from head to his foot But his clothes were all spotless, and void of all soot. A bundle of presents he had in his truck, He was filled with the spirit---no negative schmuck. He spoke not a word but went straight to his cheer. Filling their mugs from his keg full of beer. Then came a signal and as someone yelled "Boogy" From his bag full of presents, he pulled out a "loogy"! Then he sprang to his "sleigh" to his "team" gave a whistle Then headed to "Cuba," to visit the "Missile". But I heard him exclaim 'ere away that he sped That 2013 is the year of the Red. ---RedRoser |

The updated version should feature Buster Posey dressed as the Grinch breaking in and stealing the presents.
