I have it on good authority that Gonzalez decided not to sign with the Reds because he would have been embarrassed to wear the new road batting practice caps.
 otoh, he really liked the old school hidden "mb" on the Brewers' alternate caps.  The same issue kept him from signing back with the Braves.
