I hope the Reds sign him!

Re: Javier Vazquez mulling comeback
One of the most underrated pitchers of this generation. Top 5 pitchers in fWAR in the 00's:
1. Randy Johnson, 55.7 2. Roy Halladay, 53.8 3. Javier Vazquez, 49.2 4. Pedro Martinez, 47.8 5. Curt Schilling, 45.6 And since that obviously is a "biased" selection of years around his career, if you look at since 1990, he's 15th. Interestingly, he's next to a guy who could be thought of as the Javier Vazquez of the 1990's, Kevin Appier.

Re: Javier Vazquez mulling comeback
We were supposed to land him in the Great Contraction Draft in the early 2000s. Whatever happened to that?

Re: Javier Vazquez mulling comeback
I was always waiting for his arm to blow up but it never did. He had like 550 innings from years 21-24. The Expos rode him hard as a youngster.

Re: Javier Vazquez mulling comeback
Vasquez is reportedly sitting in the low 90s and touching 94 in recent days. So perhaps the guy still has something in the tank.
