He's gotta just come out with the whole truth now. It's not like he can make this more weird or awkward for himself. I mean, he's got the combine and team interviews coming up...plus media interviews. He's going to get asked about it a lot so there's no point in lying anymore.
He prolly should have stuck to the lie till he at least talked to a PR crisis guy or something. Releasing that weird statement didn't make much sense. |

There was a maudlin segment about his girlfriend in the NC game pre-game. Almost certainly filmed after December 26, when Notre Dame alleges it became aware of the hoax. How could ND let that segment run?
