Re: Would the reds attendance go up if the stadium was located in Blue Ash?

Having grown up in the Blue Ash area I would hate to see the Reds leave downtown. Going to a Reds game was an event/adventure, dinner downtown, drinks after the game, overall a great experience. Cincinnati has a relatively small downtown, currently living in a Mega-tropilis let's me really appreciate how accessible Downtown Cincinnati is. Besides GABP is a major income creator for downtown business.

And I personally wish is was south of town, being from Louisville, but seriously I think downtown is perfect: it is close for both east-siders and west-siders, the traffic infrastructure is there for people from every direction, there is plenty of parking near the stadium, there is plenty of food/entertainment nearby, there are plenty of hotels for us out-of-towners, and lastly there are plenty of out-of-towners here for other reasons (conventions, long weekends, etc.) who can walk to a game. I can't wait for my next trip in...GO REDS!

Not to mention as of last year the team only pays a dollar to lease that little 10 year old stadium downtown:

Terrible idea.

I would go to games a lot less if they were in the burbs.

The river is the perfect place for the Reds to call home, and I hope they always will.

Re: Would the reds attendance go up if the stadium was located in Blue Ash?

I would hate to see either team relocate away from the riverfront. I have so many memories of baseball and football on the riverfront. Now watching from Western PA the buildings seem like old friends. I am even starting to like the one that looks like it is wearing a tiara.

I get sentimental about my sports.
