Last time the Cubs won the W-S the US had 46 states, Oklahoma had been a state for less than 1 full calendar year.
The last time the Cubs wont the W-S, the following had yet to be invented. The crossword puzzle Sun Tan Lotion "Talkies" Plastic Bras Zippers Oreos Bubble Gum And of course the Internet (Al Gore Senior was not yet 1 the last time the Cubs won the World series.) Pluto was discovered, declared a planet, then not declared a planet. And rumor has it, that since the cubs last won the world series, Dirt was born, but I'm still awaiting confirmation of that. Since the Cubs last the WS, the following has occured: Haley's coment has come and gone twice. The Boy Scouts were created. The first full service grocery store was opened The first winter olympics were held. |
