On the Yahoo Fantasy Freakshow Podcast they discussed this issue. They said due to a miscommunication or dispute with their stats provider the prospects were not added to the player pool. They said this issue should be resolved within a couple of weeks. I certainly hope it is fixed before our draft starts. In years past any player on a MLB 40-man roster was in the Yahoo player pool. Not so this year, at least for now.

I was planning to start this draft around March 9th, but if the prospects are not added yet we may have to push it back another week or so. If the prospects are not added by the time our draft starts they will be ineligible for the draft and will be subject to waivers when they are added.

We can trade draft picks for the upcoming 2013 draft, but we can't use the Yahoo trading system for doing so. If you would like to include an exchange of 2013 draft picks in a trade please do so using the Comments area of the trade proposal and notify me when the trade is complete so I can change the 2013 draft order. Any traded draft pick using the checkmark system in the trade proposal application will be considered a trade of 2014 draft picks. The checkmark system in the trade application shows that every team has a pick in every round, but due to traded picks that is certainly not the case for the 2013 draft. So if you forget and include 2013 draft picks in your trade proposals you are likely to end up trading picks that don't exist. Please consult the official 2013 draft order posted here and in the Commissioner's Note for use in all trades.

I have not chosen a specific date to start the draft yet, but it will be near March 9th. Each team will have a 10 hour time limit to post their pick.

Cool. They added some good ones. That is a good sign. There are still some missing though.

I see you and thatcoolguy_22 made another trade. Leaguewide we have made 3 trades in the first 5 days. We are off to an active start. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Oscar Taveras was added to the Yahoo player pool yesterday.

Maybe Yahoo has finally decided they are tired of losing leagues to other sites. I've always preferred Yahoo but drooled over the better player pools elsewhere.

Well, Yahoo's doing a nice job doing what they can but in my opinion they're never going to touch a player pool like ESPN's

Dude I soooooooooooooooooo robbed you.

But seriously, I took a bit of a gamble on that one. Scutaro is a safer bet to have a good season and he plays tougher positions to fill, but it is possible that if Morneau is back to full health he could have a monster season. I will take the flyer.
