Don't we usually stick articles this time of year too? Surely someone's making frivolous, offhand remarks to Hal McCoy that we can endlessly scrutinize for the next month.

That's been OBM's thread too IIRC. And yes, both should be stickied throughout ST in my opinion.

You have muscle confused with fat/water weight. Unless they're juicing, nobody is going to put on 10 lbs of pure muscle in one offseason. Doing that in one year is already hard enough.

Actually, when you're over 6 feet tall, 10 pounds isn't really a lot of weight. I'm 6'3" and I gained 25 pounds in one winter and lost body fat by lifting twice per day and eating protein shakes. Of course, I was in my twenties, but Homer is still in that range also. Your other point is valid though...I used to lose 5 pounds (sometimes more) of water at every workout. Hopefully, Homer put a lot of that weight in his legs. This may be the year Chapman begins his journey to becoming a dominant closer, but it may be the year Homer completes his journey.

I see where you're going. Three closers, pitcher bats clean up, and Choo plays just outside the infield dirt so he can run in and turn all the double plays. How 'bout that LaRussa.

That's good stuff... Good to hear Lou Brown in camp! And I'm sure Jay's bunting would send Marty over the edge.
