One of my co-workers accused me of being a metro sexual today. So I've got that thread cred going for me, which is nice. But I'm also wearing pleated khakis...
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Kilts > Shorts, in my book.

And with Highlanders wearing kilts, you can throw out the leg theory of body heat.

Living in the Sunbelt, where summer is 8 months long and having spent a few years jobless, I actually own more short pants than long ones.

Now that I'm back among the employed, I'm truly dreading the prospect of wearing long pants in July.

There are still a few posters who haven't specified whether they wear shorts.

I spent 7 weeks in your part of the world wearing layers of cloth (shrit), padded wool (gambeson), armor (riveted double link chainmail hauberk), and a 7 ounce (summer weight) leather surcoat and an 8th century style spectacled helm with a leather-skirted waterfall; I have no heat tolerance. I guess being 10 years younger won, but I don't know how I did that.

I love fancy dress when I actually have the opportunity, but I sweat like crazy in the summertime. If I'm wearing pants and it's over 85 degrees, I'll be about as dry as Paul Sorvino wearing snow pants in a sauna.

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.
