Would't it be interesting to see the salarys of those pitchers along side their records? Bowden, Boone and Gullette all deserve credit in bring in Jimmy.

And holding....

Jimmy had the chance to be the STOPPER today...but it didn't work out.

Not blaming him or anything, he still gave it a pretty good go....but Coors has an affect on even the best pitchers.

Anyway, though I would bring this one back to the top just to be consistent.

Jimmy Haynes, July 2002

6 GS
3-0, 3.44 ERA
36.2 IP, 38 H, 16 BB, 20 K, only 2 HR allowed!

Career ERA = 5.34

3.44 - 5.34 = -1.90!!

Wow!

Yeah, I agree '66, Jimmy is finally throwing his famous curveball for strikes and I think he has turned the corner.

It will be interesting to see if Bowden keeps him beyond this season.

You know, I think this whole labor mess is FCB's doing. If MLB shuts down for the rest of '02, Jimmy gets stuck at 13 wins and FCB hangs on to his kid.

Wouldn't it be ironic if a life of indentured servitude were saved by Millionairs going on strike!?!

Never the less, someone knew what he was talkin' about when he predicted 14 wins. Strike or no strike......

It's official:

Jimmy Haynes - 14 wins.

FCB - one less kid.

Oh yeah - and from now on, it's Saint Don.

His last reply to this thread was over 3 months ago (page 1).
