Bobby Abreu: Reality TV Victim
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/tex...90_chat11.html
By Dwight Perry The Seattle Times If reality bites, then Phillies outfielder Bobby Abreu needs a rabies shot. Seems Abreu's fiancée — Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe and Miss Venezuela — was filmed having sex with another man on "La Granja," a Mexican reality TV show, the Philadelphia Daily News reported. Added the News' Marcus Hayes: "Abreu declined to comment on the matter, besides confirming that the relationship is over."

Wow, I might have to adjust the old satellite dish to receive the Mexican UPN, or whatever channel this show is on....

Wow, as bad as I dislike Abreu for constantly beating the Reds to death, I really feel bad for him. Infidelity is a very painful thing to deal with. I couldn't imagine having to share it with the world on a television show.

Re: Bobby Abreu: Reality TV Victim
Actually, the show is filmed in Spain (got to love the U.S. press for not being able to differentiate between Spain and Mexico).
I googled around a bit after seeing this and it turns out, shockingly, that this news is more than a few days late and a few dollars short. You can get more details if you scroll down this page: http://www.criticalbeauty.com/Journal_May_2005.html Abreu said (in a Venezuelan newspaper on 5/10) they split up when Machado went to Spain to tape the show, figuring that an transoceanic relationship wasn't going to work.
