Re: Best Advertsing $ abercrombie never spent

Once they hit 18 and they want to look the fool, go right ahead. Before that, I have to wonder where one's parents are when they see their little girl wearing a boy toy shirt or whatever it says.

Interesting side story (at least to me), I advise a collge fraternity and a couple years ago, I was visiting and they invited me to head ot with them to a "porn star" party. I said no and told them they really should not be throwing such a party - it really can be viewed upon as degrading to women and we as a group teach respect for women.

They then infomred me that it was the sorority that came up with the party and it was at the sorority house. I was a bit suprised....but the times they are a changing...

For the record, I still didnt go and advised them it was still a bad idea, but they are over 18 and can decide for themselves.

Remember the study that said that young girls are leading the sexual revolution?

FWIW, when I lived in Piqua, the elementary school I went to had a concrete tunnel on the playground. That tunnel has since been removed because two six graders were caught having sex inside of it. Also in Piqua, my mom tells me that the junior high school quit having recess outside because more than one group of junior high kids were caught having sex during recess.

Time to wake up and smell the stench deltachi... Women have full command of men these days and know exactly how to do it...

Alot of these girls like the attention but what it ends up doing is makes them reliant on appearance rather than quality and substance

As they latch on to willing guy after willing guy who just uses them like a dirty oil rag, they waste 10 yrs of their life with a-holes only to find out at about 30 that they are shriveled shells of their former selves with deep regret of allowing primal actions take over during their youth.

Of course many end up very successful and lead normal lives, I would venture there will be a mass number of women who are single long into their 30's wondering why decent men wont touch them with a 10 ft pole.

I could be wrong about that, but the way the young women are acting, makes hippy love look like PBS programming.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Retailer Abercrombie & Fitch said on Friday it would stop selling some of its T-shirts after a national boycott by teenage girls, who objected to slogans emblazoned across the shirts such as "Who needs brains when you have these?"

The teen-oriented apparel company, often criticized for its suggestive advertising featuring scantily-clad young models, did not specify which T-shirts it would pull but said in a brief statement that "We recognize that the shirts in question, while meant to be humorous, might be troubling to some."

Earlier this week, the Women & Girls Foundation of Southwest Pennsylvania launched a "girl-cott" of the store in protest over the T-shirts, launching an e-mail campaign and appearing on NBC's "Today" show to air their concerns.

Other T-shirts featured the slogans "Blondes are adored, brunettes are ignored," and "I make you look fat."

The latest controversy is not the first for the New Albany, Ohio-based retailer. Two years ago, Abercrombie & Fitch pulled its glossy catalogs that featured nude men and women after protests, and in 2002 it discontinued a line of T-shirts that Asian-Americans claimed was racially insensitive.

Abercrombie & Fitch on Thursday reported a 31 percent jump in its October same-store sales, a key measure of retail performance.
