Unis -- dumping the black and adding NAVY BLUE?!

See this tidbit from a recent espn article:

I like the idea of dropping the black (we are the REDS aren't we) but what's the deal with adding navy blue? Anyone have any pics of the "days of old" that lukas is talking about?
