We should start Hal Morris at 1B. He's 19 for 50 vs. Maddux.

I would almost rahter flop Felipe and Hatteberg. It drops the chances of a DP down.

Tonight's game is available in high definition on INHD. Unfortunately due to the blackout rules I think that is going to be blacked out in the local area.

High OBP Hatteberg at the top of the lineup -- it's different, and at this point, different is good.

Maddux has definitely been scuffling lately. If we don't hit him pretty well tonight, it's officially time to worry about this offense.

Heck, I'm already worried.

Freel in the 8th spot...interesting...almost as interesing as Hatteberg in the 2nd spot. Anything to help this offense get going is worth a chance.

well, he is Greg Maddux you know.

TMBS, the Reds have hit 18 HR's in their last 48 innings against Maddux and his ERA against the Reds over the last 3 years in 6.75, so you may be on to something.

Re: 5/30/06 - Reds vs. Cubs Game Thread

I suggested in a thread earlier today (in Live on the 1b platoon) that Hatty really should be hitting in the #2 hole. Maybe Narron is listening because I have been critical of his nonsensical lineups.

If it works...try it on back to back days.
