If he has to go on the DL, the obvious move is to call up either Phipps or Robinson. Phipps if you want a bat, Robinson if you want a glove.

    Sign Rolen. Frazier to left.

    Lutz wouldn't surprise me either.

Lutz would surprise me very much.

It would basically be like promoting a guy from single-A. He has yet to prove he can hit AA pitchers, much less major leaguers. He's also not very versatile. He can only play LF, and even there he still needs a LOT of reps.

Since it's Ludwick who went down, I'll pick Phipps as the replacement. More power than Robinson.

I'd sign Rolen if you aren't going to call up Hamilton. I feel like it's inevitable that Rolen comes back anyways.

Or, Frazier to Left and bring back Jason Donald, if it's not too late.

You want Jason Donald (or Hanrahan, I guess) playing instead of Heisey/Paul?

    No.

Chris Heisey -- it's like Drew Stubbs never left.

Re: Ludwick injury - dislocated shoulder

The idea of Chris Heisey getting every day PAs really puts a damper on my optimism. I'd much prefer a Rolen/Hanahan platoon with Frazier in LF. By the time Rolen would get ready, Ludwick is probably back. Guess they'll have to muddle through. Jason Donald would make no difference here.

    H-Rod anyone?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

My thoughts exactly. Any timeline for this? Ludwick's shoulder looked trashed walking off the field. Sucks.
