Vandy is horrid. If Xavier loses tonight, we've got serious problems.

Yes. Agreed. The line should be higher. X by 20.

That was like a nightmare version of last year's game in Nashville, with Xavier taking over the role of Vanderbilt.

I think Xavier fans forgot how to cheer. Totally lame sell out crowd. Finally got off their ass on the last possession of regulation.

This is why I was worried about starting to have expectations for this Xavier team. Because it's pretty clear they're not very good. Oh, well. Losing to Vandy solved the expectations problem!

76-53. Just in case anyone forgot in all of the drama.

We'll see how things go this evening. I have stopped trying to predict how this Xavier team will play and have decided to just enjoy the ride.

We learned a lot this evening. And what we learned wasn't good.

Really? I can't imagine what anyone learned about Xavier that they didn't already know from watching the last 7 games (everything since Butler). I mean, Xavier lost at home to friggin Vandy!

Xavier just has doesn't have much talent on the roster. Particularly with Justin Martin missing most of the game in foul trouble and Semaj missing most of the game because he doesn't know how to hydrate.

It's gonna be a tough year, but we've really known that all along. The Butler game just gave us some false hope for awhile.

UC is a really good squad this year. Xavier lacks the size and athleticism to play with them.

Next year will be better. Semaj will be a year older and have a full year of coaching under his belt, Matt Stainbrock (6'10, noticeably slimemer WMU transfer) will be eligible to play on the block, and they'll hopefully get Myles Davis and Jalen Reunolds back eligible as well.

I'm not worried about X -- they had a perfect storm of things go wrong in the last 12 months, but the program is fine long-term.

Still to be determined. They've got some issues of their own from what I can see. Xavier just isn't nearly good enough to take advantage.
