Barton has what appears to be a left hamstring injury and is out of the game. Griffin in.
2-0 Bats in the 2nd
Mesoraco is 2-for-2.
Cochran loses no-hitter on Alonso misplay with two outs in the 6th.
Mesoraco is now 2-for-2 with a walk.
Jose Arredondo with a 1-2-3 7th inning for the Bats.
Horst started the eighth, gave up a run, and Jordan Smith got the last out. It's 3-1 after eight.
Tom Cochran has never been someone I have liked very much but you have to give credit where credit is due.
He has been the most consistently good pitcher for the Bats this season. He has really improved over his stints with the team over the last two years.Code:Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Cochran 6.0 3 0 0 3 4 0 1.15

How long until the drumbeat starts for Mesoraco's bat to be in Cincinnati begins?
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
Hanigan/Hernandez is still a very formidable tandem behind the plate. I'd rather let him work out any kinks in AAA for now and then cut him loose next year. No need to rush IMO.How long until the drumbeat starts for Mesoraco's bat to be in Cincinnati begins?
Mes could still use time with Corky and Sweet learning how to call a game. And the great thing is, there's no rush to get him to the bigs.
I would see if the Sox would bite on the Hanigan-for-Iglesias deal. Makes a ton of sense for both sides. Between Iglesias, Cozart, and Janish, they should be able to not only address the SS position for the next few years but also perhaps BP's replacement if he gets too expensive after 2012. Sox need a catcher and Hanigan would fit the mold with his high OBP. I could also see the Sox making a play for Reyes which would make Iglesias expendable.
Team Mez with Hernandez for the rest of this season, and sign a veteran backup to a one year deal for 2012 until Grandal is ready or traded.
Go BLUE!!!
