The only thing that makes this easier to take is that The Pirates swept The Reds last year in April and we ended up just fine.

But good grief, it's The Pirates.

I don't think luck has anything to do with this series. When you walk Ronny Cedeno like Volquez did you deserve to lose.

Same for Wood tonight. Pitch better and that's that.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Same here. Personally I think they'll end up pretty darned close to .500 but fall a bit short.

Must be something about April games against the Pirates...

They redefine mediocre -- pitching staff is pedestrian, bullpen is marginal, and most of their everyday 9 would be bench guys elsewhere. I'd stake every dime I own on them finishing with 90+ in the L column.

I suggest the Reds use a bullpen guys for the first inning and then turn it over to a "starter." This is becoming laughable.

Foul. Foul. Foul. Foul. This is painful and dull -- the worst combination of awful.

I may be wrong here, but I would bet that 40 pitches in one inning would not be the same as 40 over 2-3 innings when it comes to stamina.
