    Looking to the Offseason(NFL)

Figuring that the Bengals will pick somewhere between 15 and 20, this draft is pretty heavy on DT's, which the Bengals desperately need. Here is my top 5 wish list for the NFL Draft.

1.LaRon Landry(S-LSU). I know we have other needs, but team him with Madieu and we could have a brutal tandem.

    2.Frank Okam(DT-Tennessee). As I said, we need a run stopper. Okam is 6'5, 315.

    3.Quinn Pitcock(DT-Ohio St). See above.

4.Justin Blalock(G-Texas). Fills the hole left by Steinbach.

    5.Amobi Okoye(DT-Louisville)

If Steinbach leaves, which is looking very possible, Leonard Davis is available on the FA market and would be an upgrade.

    Thoughts?

I don't think it's neccessary to sign a FA Guard, or atleast one that will command a contract such as Leonard Davis. With Whitworth and Andrews, we shouldn't be having issues at Guard for a while. But I do think we should draft an OL in the mid rounds, since Willie is getting old and you can never have too much depth at OL.

As far as the rest of the team, the Bengals really need to concentrate on defense this offseason. There aren't too many good free agents this offseason, but they're are however several good LBs. Adalius Thomas, Lance Briggs, Cato June, and London Fletcher are all FA's to be, and the Bengals desperately need to sign one of them, seeing how weak the DL and DB FA class is.

If we were to sign one of those LBs, get Odell Thurman back, and draft a DL and DB with our first two picks, I'd feel a lot better about our defense. I'd feel even better if we resigned Geathers to a LTC, since I feel Smith is walking this offseason (I heard something about the Texans).

If Alan Branch from Michigan comes out, he's priority numero uno. He may not be there, in which case Leon Hall, CB from Michigan, is next. If he's not there, you go with the best available defensive player.

From everything I have read, Branch is going to be a top 10 pick. Cleveland has been rumored, but I think they will take a RB.

I look for us to take a D-Lineman with our first pick. I dont want any part of London Fletcher, but I would take the other three.
