Of your choices I thought Jim Edmonds and Rocco Baldelli are interesting choices. Edmonds surprised me with the Cubs and if the mitochondrial cellular disorder/fatigue syndrome can be managed in Baldelli we could have a nice bat in left.

Edmonds/Kapler. That would be great LF defense, and both can still hit their respective platoons effectively...

If the Reds signed Edmonds, George Grande's head might explode from 100% pure pleasure.

I voted for the line, not because I'm opposed to the idea of a platoon, but because I didn't like any of the LH options.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

You tossing them up like that makes it so hard to refrain from hitting them out of the park. Darn this being a family board.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

I thought I did a good job myself.

While Baldelli's lack of adenosine triphosphate makes him a shaky target, I like the Gross idea and prefer him to all the LH options in the poll. I'd have voted for him were he on there.

That's hilarious that the leading vote getter is the line.

I think the idea is if you were against a platoon you voted for one player plus the line. Thus, many people voted for one player and the line, not just necessarily the line...

It actually said if you were opposed to a platoon, then vote for the line. I am against a platoon for CF, so I just voted for the line. Maybe I misunderstood?

I want the line to be our centerfielder. LINE IN 09.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The line would hit better than Tavares or Hopper.

I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger." -Josh Hamilton

CF? This was a good idea for a poll, but it's difficult to communicate. I think this is best that could have been hoped for...

Without reading this thread, I made the same pick. That would be a dandy platoon for a year till Dorn kicks the door down.
