    Bottom of 3:

Johnson up. He bounces back to Harang. 1 out

Bonafacio tries to bunt but fouls it off the back wall. He then singles to center.

Harang worried about Bona, gets behind 2-0. Bona takes off on the 2-1, Baker fouls back. 2-2.

Baker then bounces by Harang to a diving Phillips who glove flips to Gonzo for the force. Web gem. 2 out

Hanley is taking some amazing hacks up there. If I'm Harang, I put on up in his grill. But, Harang won't do that. Rameriz works the count 3-2. Fouls off some pitches then walks.
    (Not a bad move)

George Can Too. Harang sure is nipping at the outside corner tonight. Works the count 2-2. And then K's Cantu swinging. That's 5 for Harang. 3 out

    After 3, Marlins 1 Reds 0.

reds managing handbook chapter 1 ... thou shalt separate thy best hitters with an easy out as not to overly stress the opposing pitcher.

Bruce grounds out on the first pitch.

The Marlins bullpen isn't very good but the Reds are up there hacking away anyways.

Come on guys, make him work. Swinging at the first pitch isn't going to cut it against this guy.

Another easy 1-2-3 inning by Johnson.

How big is that missed opportunity in the first inning looking now?

    Re: Reds vs Marlins 5/4/09

    Top of 4:

Phillips bounces to Bonafacio. He makes a nice running play. 1 out

Bruce bounces to Cantu on the first pitch. 3 pitches by Johnson this inning. 2 out

Herandez takes strikes 2, low, ump is consistently calling that pitch. He then hammers one to the warning track in right. Bout a foot from the Wall. 3 out.

Herandez does have some scary Oppo Power.

    After 3 and 1/2, Marlins 1 Reds 0.

With the Reds having bat only 4 times, it's not that big. Another 4 times up and it's huge. Postive thoughts OBM
