Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)
Nice write up on Yorman from a former scout.

I have only seen Rodriguez this fall, so I have nothing with which to compare. From what I have seen, however, his swing is nice and compact, and he is seeing pitches well. With a reputation of chasing pitches, Rodriguez's pitch recognition has been good. In games I've scouted, he hasn't offered at pitches he doesn't think he can drive.
It is evident Rodriguez is working hard on plate discipline and pitch recognition this fall. To date, the results are encouraging.
I would say Rodriguez falls in the high-risk, high-reward category.
Clearly still a work in progress, the coming season may well determine if Rodriguez is more a prototypical scout projection only or if he indeed realizes the results his visible raw skills project. He is a gifted athlete, but he has work ahead to smooth some rough, raw edges.

Yorman can play his age 21 and 22 seasons in the minors before having to be kept on the 25 man. Seems about right. If he seems ready sooner, fine, but they don't have to rush him. Stay patient with this kid. The ceiling is very high.
To me, the takeaway phrase in this story might be, "Playing with energy and enthusiasm . . ." That's what seemed to be so sorely lacking from him in years past, and blatantly holding him back. Also promising is the quote about "working hard on plate discipline and pitch recognition," as much for the "working hard" as for the mechanics themselves (which of course are very important).
In addition, it's nice to read the high praise of his defense. Past reports haven't been nearly so friendly. All in all, this is a very encouraging glimpse.
The way I see it, whether right or wrong, is that since he'll play almost the entire 2014 season as a 21 year old, it's his 21 year old season. Either way, he's still comfortably ahead of the curve. One technicality: with a birthday of 8/15/92, I think his upcoming season is his 22 year old season.
Encouraging words no doubt, also encouraging he has been holding his own in the AFL. He and Stevenson will be my two prospects to keep track of the most this next year.

2 home runs today in the AFL. Pulled one and the other to right-center.
Would his ceiling be Carlos Beltran in his prime?
No- he's not close to the player Carlos Beltran is/was.
Guys....and gals.....I just dont see him ever breaking out - I think his ceiling is a good 4th outfielder. Somethings missing and I suspect it might be the age thing - idk, I wish he would make a jump and sort of dominate a league even for a month. His upside feels like Jose Guillen. I realize his age relative to league - but theres something missing.
