Then someone needs to create a sign for 'DO NOT BUNT' because its just a poor idea with someone swinging the bat so well.

Brantley talking like a SABR-head about Stubbs' strikeouts.

Hochevar might retire after giving up a RBI single to Miller.

Corky had to get a hit at some point, right?

Anyone else think it looked like Cabrera hurt himself taking a pitch there?

But why? If he gets it to the third base line its a hit. If he doesn't he makes pitcher field ball and he gets Cabrera to 2nd with Votto and Rolen up next.

Not to mention the pink elephant in room. Hochevar threw complete game 3 hit, 1 run, 79 pitch game against team last year. I'm sure they expect tough low scoring game. I am not for bunting 2nd place hitters, but in this instance it was smart play by Phillips.

I guess outs grow on trees.

You play in a tin can for stadium, play like it.
He was obviously bunting for a base hit, not a sacrifice.

Something every hitter should do once in a while to keep the defense honest.
